XTerra unlocks itself, security has gone whacky

I think my xterra is haunted! It's a 2000, but I have warranty, so could go to the dealer, but I'd rather try to keep their grubby hands off of it, so I'm hoping this might be fuse issue of some kind.

This is the progression of my problem:
1. The remote key starting not working very well, I replaced th battery in the remote key, but it's operation was still intermittent.
2. The remote key stopped working altogether.
3. I would get in the truck and the security, hazards and outside lights would blink on and off for a while, if I locked the doors inside, they would also unlock.
4. all lights and such stopped blinking except for the security light.
5. Now if I lock the doors with the manual switch inside, as soon as I walk away, I hear them unlock.

Anyone run into this? Is it some sort of fuse? Or am I going to the treacherous dealer for this?

Thanks!

Is that for use with the car, or the dealer?
