Help! my 96 burb looks amazing and runs like a something with a striped a_ _ (typical fuel pump issue aside) - however, there is a loud, creepy creaking noise from the driver's side rear wheel that is about to drive me to sell. I recently replaced the rear shocks (driver's side blown) and I thought I had it licked. rear end was quiet for one day, then creak came back just as loud + then some. ground zero seems to be the leaf spring - could I have a cracked spring? any bushings i should know about? anything that can be greased?

Thanks...

Just spray the bejeezus out of the leafs, hangers and anywhere else there is movement, I have the same creek and used a whole can of WD 40 to kill it, You will have to spray it every once in a while. Rock the suspension up and down to see if worked then go hit some whoops to spread the lube, Hopefully this works it worked for me!

You da man! jacked up the back end (shop jack under the trailer hitch bar) then blew a can of lithium grease on the creaky leaf. silence! this might be a regular ritual for me, as the "red zeppelin" spend a lot of time around salt water waiting for me to get back from offshore fishing trips.

thanks for the 411
