Have an 82 Accord - 5 speed. Great car but strange new problem. Driving down the highway at 80 and the car just dies. Pull over and try to start and it does with no problem. The battery light blinks if I turn on any accessories - heat, wipers, rear defrost the light blinks and car sputters a bit. OK obvious things first- had a service center check - alternator, battery, voltage regulator (said it was inside the alternator) - had these checked twice and they were ok. Put new plugs and wires on, checked all visible wires around battery, alternator and coil. Everything looks ok. Seems that it doesn't die as much when it's warm. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated! Should I consider the ignition switch, Coil, or main relay? Trying NOT to replace all of them unless necessary.

The symptoms you describe sounds like a possible ignition switch problem. On later models, around the late 90s, Honda had an ignition switch recall and described the symptoms as you did.
