98 4runner brake suggestions/input???

98 limited 2wd 16" wheels, vibration from brakes when applied.
1st will try new semi-metallic pads (TRD HP? other suggestions?) after roughing rotor surface with garnet paper, then proper bedding of new pads. .....Am hoping this will correct vibrations...

If not, rotors already checked and runout(?) limitations indicate insufficient "meat" left on rotor for them to be machined (turned).
Should I get to this point, want to understand option for replacement (if req'd)...
Should I go with stock Toyota dealer parts (organic pads i think?), or is Brembo aftermarket rotor a good choice (or other suggestion?) ...with semi-metallic pads?
Is anyone aware of a white paper/resource that succintly outlines
this topics along with reasoning as to choices/options.

Driving style will be primarily around town with little/limited hard braking,
some stop and go traffic - no hard stopping, no autocross/track type
driving habits, no off road activity...

Any thoughts or input are greatly appreciated.

Go with Toyota brake pads and shoes. I think rotors and drums are all pretty much the same, except for the fancy ones - drilled and such. If you go away from Toyota pads, be careful. Alot of the aftermarket pads squeak badly. Some don't.

Am assuming that ceramic pads would have noise characteristics more similar to organic than semi-metallic?

I have heard ceramics are good. No personal experience.

As a general rule, I don't skimp on brakes.
