As my wife drives this vehicle with my kids in, I'm searching for an answer to likely solutions for this, I've had it into the mechanic 4 times now, and no luck. Problem is too intermittent.

I've seen 2 other posts talking about the crankshaft sensor and the fuel pressure regulator issues.

The suburban has 49k miles.

Just had the CPS replaced in my 2001 GMC Yukon (8.1) yesterday after experiencing random stalls while driving and not starting. I'll update this in a couple weeks with results. Since there were no codes set I just took this potential solution based on posts seen.

Changed crankshaft position sensor 2 mos. ago, no more problems as of yet!!!
