Door lock problems

I have a 1994 Camery that has been activing funny when locking the doors (electric). I lock all four doors from the drivers control fine. However a few weeks ago the passenger side began not to unlock. It would lock but not unlock. Then the door key lock began to get tough to unlock and then stop all together. It would turn clock wise however not counter-clock wise. I took the door panel off. Everything began working correctly! Put it back on and it stops. I checked for an hour and half for rubbing pinching binding etc. Nothing! ARGH! I un hooked the door lock so Mrs. Bootz could get in (has not enjoyed climbing across the console the last week)(he-he) anyway. I note sometimes when she slambs the door shut, I get a double clicking of the locks else where int he car! The lock is unhooked from the key entrance but not passengerside buttons. Is something going wrong with the lock electronics in that door or what?
