Euro Orion ImmobiliserNull 10-24-2004, 09:31 PM Hi All, I have a European 1994 Ford Orion LX 1.8d, when I bought the car my dad looked over it and for some reason the person who had been servicing the car before I had it, I think, cut the Alarm wire. Since re-joining the wire up the alarm (or Immobiliser which I think it has) does not appear to work; no light is activated on the dashboard when the car is turned off, and I don't feel like trying to hotwire the car to work out whether its working or not ;). Does anyone know if their are any wiring diagrams around for the alarm system? I can't find them anywhere, including in the Haynes Maintenance manuals which are generally very good. Or does anyone have any suggestions as to why this would not be working; the car does make a bleeping sound when it is switched off, which comes from the speakers but I'm not sure whether that's just the CD player, perhaps it's just the LED that has gone next to the clock. What I think should happen is when the central-locking is activated the Immobiliser should also be activated turning on the LED. For clarification this is what the car looks like, note it is the European model: http://www.atac78.dsl.pipex.com/car/car1.jpg http://www.atac78.dsl.pipex.com/car/car2.jpg Thanks for the help. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
