Decent night, three kills, a death, and two watchesCassiesMan 10-24-2004, 02:24 AM Pretty fun night, and, like always, I believe it my job to tell you every little detail, becuase thats what I do, lol. First race was a highway run up to 115 against an older V6 Mustang. I'm going down 70 towards Columbia to go see a movie, when I see a pair of headlights comming up fast. A blue Mustang, looks bone stock, definately not a GT flys by, doing about 85 (I'm doing 70). I pop it over to the Sport mode, hit the kickback and set the tach to 3500rpm, and jump on it. In about two seconds I ate up four carlengths, and pulled up next to him. He looks over at me, and gives me this punk ass look like I'm anoying him. So, he jumps on the gas, and tries to get away. I jump on it to, and the small lead that he has is quickly sucked up, and by 95 his nose is at my rear bumper. I pull up through 115, about 3 and a half car lengths up. I let off, and he flies by with a finger. Beautiful. Oh well, BMW 1, everyone else 0. Next race was another good kill, stop light to 90 against a I4 Accord. I pulled up next to him, and he revs at me. I just nod back, and pop into Steptronic. I've finally figured out how to launch, so I get a decent launch when the light turns green. Through first we're even, but by mid second, I start pulling. By the end of second, Im about a half length, and when I jump into 3rd, I quickly pull up a good length and half. I pretty much stay there through 4th, and I shut down at 90. I slow down, he pulls up next to me and gives me the thumbs up, and I return the gesture. We stay next to each other for a while, and I get to my turn, and wave as I turn. BMW 2, everyone else 0. Next race was the death. I'm crusing up and down this long, wide industrial style road, trying to find a race. I finally get one against another Bimmer, what looks like a stock E36 323i. Now then, me, not thinking logically, try to put two and two together. 2.3 I6, smaller engine, less power, same body, and extra passengers. So less HP, more weight, its game over. For me. We pull up to a light, and when it goes green, I jump on it. I launch ok, and pull through first, hes hardly moving. Then I hear his tires just roasting, and he flies by like I'm not even moving. At the next light, I shouted over to him asking what he had. He had pulled the 2.3 out, and droped in a 3.3 from the E46 ///M3. I just started laughing, and gave him the thumbs up. He laughed back, and when the light went green, he just took off. BMW 2, everyone else 1. Fourth race was my last one, and a definate revenge kill for the 323. I'm sitting at a light, when a guy in a stock, four door, fart piped civic with an ugly ass body kit and wing pulled up next to me. I have my windows down and he shouts over to me. I look over, and he says he saw me race the 323, and that it was the most pathetic thing he has ever seen (guess hes never looked in a mirror). He then proceded to claim that his Honda would smoke my Bimmer, so I ask him to put his money where his mouth is. He agrees, and we both let the light go through a rotation. Light goes green, I nail the launch, and keep on it. In first I already had a half length on him, second another two, and when I jump into third, I instantly pull another two. I hold it, slowly pulling more on him., By the end of fourth, I'm up by about six lengths, doing 80, and shut down. I dont even wait for him, turn around, and head the other way. BMW 3, everyone else 1. Final reslut, a good night for Cassie. Other races I saw- 80 somethin 966 Turbo v new Z06-Turbo blasted the Z06 of the line, walked him through fourth when he shut down. Guy in the Z06 blamed it on a bogged launch, but the Turbo was far from stock. GSX('Clipse)vGSX(750)-Eclipse launched, held through first, bike jumped into second and was gone from there. Pretty much knew that was gonna happen. Mase 10-24-2004, 02:25 PM good times...those tards with bad body kits don't realize that you need a car to go fast before it "looks" fast....good kills.. CassiesMan 10-24-2004, 02:40 PM Thanks, and I know what you mean. Its kinda hard to go fast when you put on a heavy ass body kit with no upgrades. At least it was painted, lol. By the way, what year of 740il are you looking at? Mase 10-24-2004, 02:58 PM i'm thinking more like anything with the 4.0 v8...i saw that the 740s had it, i'm sure that there are some cheaper ones with the 4.0 i just don't know what the cheapest one is...i hope i can get at least a 1994 and up one... CassiesMan 10-24-2004, 03:02 PM Thats cool, yeah, the 40 has the 4.0L V8. If your willing to save for a long time, I'd go with a 760il with the 6.0 V12. Its pretty massive, and you dont see to many of them. They're also built like a damn tank. Check autotrader to see what you can find, or go to the BMW CCA website and see if they have any for sale there CivRacer95 10-24-2004, 04:04 PM Nice Kills, and a good death for you cass. Great story. Enjoyed it all the way through. Late... i3o2Matt 10-24-2004, 04:16 PM you raced a 90 I4 accord and didn't beat it by that much? damn...i think i might be able to give you a run for your money...i walked all over the 90 accord i raced...i knew the girls in the car too...lol hehe it was funny...she tried to keep up but i just kept pullin away....but all cars are different...i dunno...some good races tho, congrats CassiesMan 10-24-2004, 04:41 PM Thanks, and yeah, I was kinda suprised too. Maybe it wasn't stock, looked it though. i3o2Matt 10-24-2004, 05:08 PM yea...you neva kno...did you hear anything special or no? CassiesMan 10-24-2004, 05:12 PM Nah, wasn't listening. Had the windows up and the stereo on. i3o2Matt 10-24-2004, 05:14 PM lol o0o iight...you sure it wasn't a V6 or no? CassiesMan 10-24-2004, 05:19 PM From what I hear the V6s put out what, 240? I dont think Id walk a car that has about 50more whp than me, even with my filter, lol. i3o2Matt 10-24-2004, 05:25 PM ok i just went on autotrader.com...i dont kno how accurate they are with their engine's and power numbers...but for all 6 trim styles of the accord in 1990 (LX coupe/sedan, DX coupe, sedan, and EX coupe/sedan) they all had 2.2L I4s, and the EXs had 130 while the DXs and LXs had 125...the 91 SE and the 92 EX both had 140, and by 94 the body style changed and all the horsepower numbers went up by 5....haha but they didn't have v6 accords listed in autotrader... CassiesMan 10-24-2004, 05:30 PM Ah, ok then. So yeah, it probably was an older V6. My bad. I dont know my Hondas all that well. turbo2nr 10-24-2004, 09:03 PM sounds like a fun nite keep it up... 1 CassiesMan 10-24-2004, 09:06 PM I thought they had V6 Accords? And it wasnt a 1990, it was a race up to 90, like 90mph. It was probably a later, but not new, model V6? Turbo-thanks, I will. i3o2Matt 10-24-2004, 09:09 PM o0o i dunno...it could have been then...but the earliest accord V6s were like 94 i think...that body style... CassiesMan 10-24-2004, 09:11 PM I dunno, all I know is that I won. i3o2Matt 10-24-2004, 09:12 PM lol yea...i mis-read the post...i thought you put "i raced a 90 I4 accord" or somethin...but yea...those V6s prolly have about the same power as your car...depending on the year... clawhammer 10-24-2004, 09:28 PM What year is your BMW Cassie? And how do you know the models just by E46, can you teach me? CassiesMan 10-24-2004, 10:14 PM Yeah, no problem. Its a 2004. From 1999-2004, the Chassis style is E46. From 93-98 they were E36. Its pretty easy once you get teh system down. The best way to do it is Google search BMW Chassis Code. If you want, send me a PM, and I'll help ya out with all things BMW. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
