Ok I'm interested in these two cars and I wanted to get your opinions. The two cars I am interested in are a 1995 Nissan 300ZX Twin Turbo and a 1995 Mitsubishi Eclipse GSX. I realize out of the box the Nissan 300ZX Twin Turbo is faster, but the Eclipse is very easy to mod (as is the 300ZX) and has AWD. So which of these choices do you think is the best? Please give your reasoning?

300ZX is more reliable but harder to fix, GSX is easier to fix but will be broken half the time. 300ZX handles better

The 2nd gen. GSXs are notoriously unreliable. However, it's a lot cheaper and easier to fix than the 300ZX. My pick depends on what condition each car is in.

I agree that the DSM's aren't very reliable but for some reason once you start to take care of them and fix the shit the person before you fucked up they are a lot more dependable. I haven't had any problems with mine since like the begining of summer. AWD is fun and is nice to have where I live because of the snow, but on the nice warm summer days I wish I had a RWD V-8 car somtimes. Also if you plan on getting a GSX that a 5 speed make sure you don't have the dreaded crankwalk.

but crank walk isn't very common

Very true, as long as you take care of your DSM, it's not like it's gonna randomly break out of nowhere (although there is always the risk of crankwalk).

bias opinion but i say 300zx...everything was said about reliability and fixability. both cars can be modded and get huge numbers from. 300zx stock is quite a bit faster. the only reason making the GSX "better" is maybe the AWD factor. but personally i like the feeling of RWD except on snow. not good.

Based on looks alone...300ZX TT

Performance alone...toss up...they both go real fast

Handling alone...eh...they both arent known for being autocross demons...but on the road course...I'd pick the Z TT

Reliability...as said...the Z is more reliable...but more costly
