I'm in high school but I think I know a descent amount of knowledge about cars compared to my fellow class mates. I have a picture of my car on my folder, this one kid saw a picture of the engine bay and saw the intake, He's like "wooooaaaaaaooooh! is that a A/C cooler.:twak:" I responded with a huuuuh!, then he just said nevermind as if I didnt know squat about cars. He also said he had a car like the one on my folder, the car on my folder was a jdm integra:lol2:. I even asked him if his headlights were the same and he said that it was the exact same car but black. Some other kid also saw the intake and said "Daaamn, your sh*t must be fast." The thing about my car is that it looks like plain Sentra GXE. Doesn't have the SE-R wheels, front bumper, spoiler, badges or anything. Just the powerplant so all these kids think i drive an equivalent to their stock civics.

You lucked out there bro!!! A cool salesman, you don't see that much. I talked to a guy in parts up @ Acura of Lynnwood, not only do they sell/install parts, like suspension, DC headers, Jackson Racing Superchargers, but they warrenty the parts too...they warrenty the SC for example for like 3 years 36K miles...plus, none of this voids the factory warrenty I was told...now thats one cool delaership...very understanding :biggrin:

I don't think I've talked to Mike in parts before. I talked to Robert in parts and Sabria as well. Sabria said her dad was basically the guy in charge of the whole back half of the dealership, parts, repair, etc. Next time I am near by maybe I'll have to swing in and talk to Mike in Parts also. They seem pretty cool over there...there's no dealership like that down here...they are all stick-in-the mud down here in pdx...hahaha

I know one korean kid, just turned 19 and he got a brand new bimmer 530 for his 19 birthday. and his parents are driving an old ass camry and some beat up pickup truck whiole he is rolling around in his new bimmer. it irritates the fuck out of me. my parents have bought both of my vehicles for me, but i'm a college student with nearly 30k in loans right now that i am going to have to start paying off in a year to two. most of these kids don't even consider college, just going to live off of mommy and daddy for the rest of their lives.

He was saying that it had a 12,000 watt amp and a 6,000 watt amp running 3 kicker's. This guy is the stupidest of all. After he got done talking I asked him "Are you sure it's 12 and 6 thousand, thats kind of farfetched." After that he said that he might be mistaken that he is going to check them and get back at me. He also said his engine was a v8. I told him that lancers only have inline four's. He said "Dude, I f*cken checked out my car myself and every thing, it's a v8". I then asked him if his evo was turbo charged. He said " Hell yeah dude I put that sh*t in myself." I didnt believe him so I asked him" "how much was your turbo?" He said it was like 150 to 200 dollars. :wtf: Right then I knew he was bullsh*tt*ng. I asked him if he even knew what a turbo was. Uummmmm, I know that retarding it is better for low rpm or street cars and advancing it would be better for high rpm or track cars because it leaves the intake valve open for longer so it's able to get more air. Advancing it would be bad for low rpm cars because it would mean that when the piston is moving up for compression some air would get out, if it was at high rpm, the inertia of the air would get the air packed in, even while the piston is moving up for compression. Retarding the timing in high rpm cars would not be beneficial because it's not recieveng as much air as it can. That's what I know. Can you teach me some new stuff. Oh and, am I right on what I think I know about cam timing.

That is too funny. The only conflict that I have is the sound barrier. I believe that you need to re-phrase it and say light barrier. Or does sound travel faster then light? Any idiot know that answer? haha hehe One thing for sure is that I know that :thefinger is the fastest way in getting my point across to people that want to race. I'll be honest, I have a 92 Civic. Put a new paint job, rims, lights. No mods to the engine. When I bought the car new in 92, I told myself that the engine will outlast the car. 220,000 miles later and 40mpg, I am happy with what I am getting out of it. I hear that some on this post are upset/mad that others have nicer cars. Fu@k them, money doesn't buy friends. They don't even make money, mommy and daddy do. I find that intelegence does. Look at B. Gates. I tell you what, in H.S. he was probably the last guy to get some(if he wasn't, more power to him), but look where he is at now. He can buy everyone one of your friends cars 100 times over. I had a lot of friends from H.S (about 10 years ago) who had nice cars. They all now live in apartments (nothing wrong with that) but drive crap cars and don't have their sh$t together. One last thing, I came from the Czech Republic. No one cares what car you drive or what you own. They all care to have a good time and get the most out of life. They don't worry about the best, fastest, etc. They are happy with what they have, friends and family and beer.
