The orange hose that attaches to the transmission down near the back and runs across the side. Bolts onto the bell housing and the end is open.

Am I correct in that this is used for excess fluid draining? If no, what is it for and should it be connected to something? Thanks

Yes, This Is A Vent/expansion Hose.... As The Fluid Heats Up It Expands And Sometimes Overfills The Case, This Hose Serves As A Pressure Release/drain.

No Prob.... Just Make Sure It Doesn't Get Plugged Because The Pressure Can Build Up And Crack The Case.
