I've never been one to do "easy" I prefer to do whatever I can with my own hands; it's just how I've always done things.

I do like this wheel, and would like to give it a make over. Any help would be great.

There is an excellent book called Custom Auto Interiors by Ron Mangus and Don Taylor. GET IT! In the last few pages it shows how to cover a steering wheel better than anyone will be able to tell you in the AF. This book is designed more for someone who already has upholstery experience, but it still holds useful information for a novice. If you're new to upholstery, pick up Automotive upholstery by Don Taylor. It is a great introduction to automotive upholstery.

Another alternative is to get a Wheelskins leather steering wheel cover and lace it on. They come with the waxed twine and the heavy duty needle for lacing it on, along with complete instructions. I've got one on my car and it's great! It only took me twenty minutes to put it on. All the holes are prepunched and the directions are very easy.
