Please help! My '94 Regal GS 3800 has developed a habit of being hard to start. The engine will try to turn over, but will not crank. After a dozen or so tries, it may finally crank. Occasionally, I get a "engine light" and an ABS light, so I would appreciate if someone could tell me how to retrieve these codes, so I can save the $80 the dealer wants. It has a 14-hole connector under the steering wheel.

Thanks!

you have OBD2 i beleave. no way to pull codes your self, but lots of autoparts stores like autozone will pull the codes for free.

be careful when you crank, do not crank for more then 15 seconds at a time, and wait 60 seconds between cranks or you may overheat the starter.

what area are you in(is it already cold where you are?)

million to one shot but... turn the key to on and wait 10 to 20 seconds before you crank. if this is a fuel pressure problem, that should give the fuel pump enough time to fully build pressure to start the car.
