Anniversario Models - how many made?

Just got myself a 1989 Countach Anniversary Model (KLA12894) in red and I have been told 2 different stories now about how many were actually made. Some sites say 657 yet I have found some sites that say less than 100 (68 - as below)

Years produced 1974-88 (1989 for Anniversary)
Number produced 1,317 (68 Anniversary models)

Can anyone confirm/clarify these details :)
