Ok the answer is: $2600. I had to put in a new transmission. The 3rd 4th gear clutch was worn out! Can you believe it? 60,000+ miles and this GM piece of crap tranny is worn out. Out of warranty too, and GM told me to stick it. First US car I have ever bought and sadly the last. I never towed anything with this SUV and it's still crap. Put in a rebuilt Jasper tranny with 3 year warranty, so I guess I'll be covered for another 60,000 miles before this one goes too. Never heard of a Japanese tranny going bad in 60,000 miles. Oh well, what do you do?
Grin and bear it.
