help with Caliper paint decision...GT500916 10-20-2004, 03:34 PM I have a black 240... as for right now ill be running hte stock 16x6.5, 5 spoke wheels. Next summer will be getting 18s or 17s... but anwyays... i want to paint my calipers when i change to drilled and slotted rotors here in a few week and i cant make up my mind... the choices i like are RED, but seems like everyone does RED, then i was thinking YELLOW and how it would look on black, and i think that would be tight, YELLOW is rare caliper paint that looks nice on some porches and stuff... The i was thinking BLUE or GREEN,or even NEON GREEN but might be to gay haha, i was also thinking something like SILVER or GREY, possibly even PINK jk jk!!! or just go with BLACK and have those zink coated shiny rotors might looks nice... so please vote, every vote counts!! RED YELLOW BLUE GREEN NEON GREEN SILVER GREY BLACK (forgot to put this in the poll sorry) im not gonna do the pole.. ok nm ill do the pole for those who like those... otherwise just say the dang color!! yelnatsch517 10-20-2004, 04:16 PM Wth? Where did black go? Go with black. It owns all the other colors. johnnyboy5 10-20-2004, 05:06 PM I Dont Know, I Like Yellow Or Gold Yellow Better, It Looked Awesome On The New Sentra Se-r Vspec That My Neighbor Has, Its Also More Noticeable. Partizan 10-20-2004, 07:52 PM Yellow/Gold looks really nice but it may make it look Brembo. Silver or Grey would just blend with the rotors though. 240sxAddict 10-20-2004, 08:38 PM well if ur planning of staying with the same color of car (black) i wouldnt know but if ur planning on doing the same as me and paint it well go with the color of the paint u'll go with. but i go for silver. Pavlo 10-20-2004, 09:07 PM I like silver or gold, the one that brembo uses, that color looks cool, plus some uneducated person might think it's brembo :) R.W.240 10-20-2004, 09:18 PM :1: for Forest green Ubar JDM + Low Key = Teh Hottness IBthisthreadisrevivedevery6monthsbyanewb Maybe i should dig up my engine choice thread? sRscooby 10-20-2004, 09:38 PM make it white, gotta have the contrast GT500916 10-20-2004, 11:35 PM Wth? Where did black go? Go with black. It owns all the other colors. forgot to put back into the poll sorry! :disappoin black would look nice tho... but i like the stand out colors... i would do black calipers if i had the 300z conversion, then i can leave the nissan part polished and it would look sick.... publicenemy137 10-21-2004, 12:35 AM red looks dead sexy... logik23 10-21-2004, 12:42 AM make it white, gotta have the contrast Contrast with what? Rotors are silver, almost the same. sRscooby 10-21-2004, 08:09 AM the car's black SR20DETpower 10-21-2004, 12:50 PM red should be the only color calipers have if its not metal finish GT500916 10-21-2004, 04:34 PM ok now i have come down to only 2 colors.... i want RED or YELLOW. i see everyone does RED and rarely see YELLOW, and mostly YELLOW is on porches and stuff. I dont think i have ever seen a 240 with YELLOW calipers, so i wouldnt know how sick or retarted it would look. i found this one pic with yellow calipers... Is it the Evos and the STIs that come with yellow calipers as well? i think i seen one of those with yellow or gold calipers, looked more sporty. http://impreza25rs.freeservers.com/New%20Folder/yellow-calipers4.jpg billclinton 10-21-2004, 04:59 PM red looks best, yellow will get nasty dirty. red wont look as dirty. who cares if alot of people do it, it will look sick Chuki_breath 10-22-2004, 12:06 AM pink seems to be a cool jdm color too.........personally i like my stock ugly ass rust color...y paint them, you attract attention to the weak small ass stockers that it comes with? i say just buy a nice set of brakes that are colored to catch the eye for a reason. sidewayzS13 10-22-2004, 12:37 AM what color rims do u have? that also makes a difference and if u want to take it further then that what color is the interior GT500916 10-22-2004, 02:16 AM what color rims do u have? that also makes a difference and if u want to take it further then that what color is the interior i have stock SE rims for now, in the garage  since i have a 4 lug im gonna cnvert to 5 lug, and while doing that i will put on drilled and sloted rotors and change the brakes and while at that also paint my rotors and then put my stock SE rims on. SO im not just painting them just because, but because i have a chance to and its going to be fast abd easy because ill already be doing that section so why not. So the wheels are silver and car is black, interior is grey and if i paint my calipers Yellow or Red it might look nice. Miata Master 10-22-2004, 02:23 AM IF you do the conversion how are you putting your stock wheels back on? confused... and I say almays paint to match the car. I am painting my 240 that dull yellow that the rx-7 came with. but that is not till I hit 450 horses, and have a full suspension over haul. orestes 10-22-2004, 02:27 AM id hella sport a STi with the pink STi logo and pink calipers with those 18" gold oz super leggeras or whatever. pink is d*mn sexy. i also like this one color endless uses. i dunno its like a teal or turquoise or some shit. maybe soemone else has seen it. GT500916 10-22-2004, 05:46 AM IF you do the conversion how are you putting your stock wheels back on? confused... and I say almays paint to match the car. I am painting my 240 that dull yellow that the rx-7 came with. but that is not till I hit 450 horses, and have a full suspension over haul. there are 2 different 240s... the 240sx base model 4lug and the 240sx se 5lug. Mine is a 4 lug, im converting to 5 lug. I said the wheels i have are 5 lug wheels in teh garage, and im waiting to get the front hubs. Once ill vonvert the hubs ill put on drilled and slotted rotors. The rotors are not oversized or nothing, and even if they were the 300zx rotors they will still fit on with stock SE wheels.. sidewayzS13 10-22-2004, 10:11 AM yep on the s14 there were 4 lug except for the SE the SE have 5 lug. but on the s13 they all have 4 lug even the SE vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
