I just bought a 2000 s-10 and i'm having a problem with the left headlight. When you turn the headlights on the pass side works perfectly but the drivers side lights up both high and low beam bulbs regardless of weather you have high or low beams on. Any ideas?

Check your ground for that headlight.

On a 2000, not sure, but you can trace it from the socket back. Usually, to the radiator support.

On the engine compartment side.

Does anyone have a wiring diagram for the headlight system in a 2000 s-10 4x4

Thanks to everyone for the advice. I just wanted to let you know what the problem was. I ended up going to alldatadiy.com and subscribing, The site is great! Any wiring diagram you could want and all the procedures. Anyway the problem was a fuse. The headlights have fuses in this truck and the fuse was the wrong size (10A instead of 15A) it had blown. I replaced the fuse and we were good to go.

Thanks for the completion, cheers.

BTW, is your ALLDATA subscribtion for just one model and year of truck?
