help w/ system

specs:

kenwood kdc-mp625 hu
hifonics zeus zx4400 amp
2x 10 inch jbl gto subs

Amp gets power, remote turn on works, but I get nothing from my subs. I know they work because Ive wired them directly to the hu. I even tried running my normal speakers from the amp, still nothing.

Any help would be appreciated thanks.

is your amp set to highpass?
what rca outputs from the headunit are you using?

it has both hi and low, the switch says HI, FULL, and LP/BP or something like that. Ive been using full. For subs would I have to use channels 3 and 4 or does it even matter what 2 I use?

The rca cables are gold plated not sure what brand.

I tried LP/BP and still nothing. Im going to go get some new rca cables to see if that helps.

do you have a multimeter?
do you have a friend with an amp?

I just took it to a car audio store and they hooked it up and it worked fine. Im guessing its the rca outputs on my hu..
