A few days ago my cousin soaked down my car without drying it off and he simply left...

When I got up the next morning,I noticed that the top of the car was completely faded. It had this really dry film on it.Looked kind of hazy.The areas inluded were the hood,bumper,trunk,and the top of the car. The doors,fenders and the whole sides of the car were ok though.

Anyways,is this hardwater,and secondly,how can I take this off?

I washed the car as soon as I noticed the large spots but they didnt come out,then I polished a small area but I saw very little improvement.Will I need to clay,remove some clearcoat?

I'm trying to do this as quickly as possible so it wont get worse.

hardwater is touhg, u can tryin to buff, polish then wax. obviously u r gonna wash and clay the car before u do that, but u should see some major improvement

this is a old thread but i eh

i had some water spots that wouldn't come out, so i went online and found some detailing guide that said to use vinegar(sp). tried it, and it worked. of course your going to have wax the areas you used it on, but its better than the spots.

They are there from are sponsers...ie...they are keeping AF free. Igor is trying different approaches to integrating advertisements into the forum. He may or may not stick with this one, but hopefully most agree that it isn't that bad if it keeps AF running for free.
