Does anyone know if they make a supercharger for the KA24DE. I would like to do that instead of turbo.

I do not think that anyone makse on for the KA but dont quote me. Hell fabricate your own, ill donate the supercharger all you have to do is make it fit. Then market a hole bunch of kits. Make some $$$$.

I work at a dealer so i nab them when they get waranteed (usualy they are in perfect shape but are replaced with other components for no reason, stupid service people) I dont know if they will work, but it woudl take some work.

:P Well the KA may need some bottom end work to take the SC but im sure its dooable.

Its a Eaton E62, Roots type supercharger that is used on the car. It is a serpintine belt that runs it.

I also have the core of the IC so you coudl use that as well.

I Think I Can Get That To Work If I Can Change The Belt Drive System? Do You Know If Its A Clutch Type Drive System Or Is It Direct? The Ka Should Be Fine With Low Boost.

Also If You Can Give Me The Diameter Of The Main Hub Pulley On The Crank That Would Allow Me To Keep The S/c From Over Boosting By Underdriving It.

Its going to be hard to convert it from belt drive. Ill have to go and mesure a pulley when i go to work. And yes a clutch is used, its an electromagnetic clutch.

O ant it usualy boosts around 7 psi when engadged.

Yeah i will do some fabricating but i will make it work not a problem. So could you hook me up with one than.

What I Was Going To Do Was Take The Ka Hub Pulley And Weld On A Serpitine Drive Hub On The End And Have It Balanced.... Then I Was Going To Make A Bracket To Replace The A/c Compressor With The Blower And A Tensioner And Run A Serpintine Belt. As For The Clutch I Would Have To Read Up On Its Operation But That Would Just Mean I Could Make A Bypass And Have Power On Demand To Save Gas.... Like A Wot Clutch Engagement Or A Switched Clutch Engagement.

no prob, should find out by this weekend.

Ill see what of the clutch system i can oull off as well, and ill also pull it all up on DAS and see what it says.

Well this perticulat SC is on a Mercedes Benz SLK230 Kompressor. There are other units on the AMG cars but they are designed for 6 and 8 cylinder cars. Im ushing a SL55 SC under the glass of my cofee table :P

well most of the warantee ones come off earlier model ones, but there are a few that have been waranteed in the last whiel on the brand new 230's (which have up'ed power output from earlier models)

LOL, chances of a nerw one are slim, Mercedes warantee clerks tend to want all the new stuff back so they can examin it for possbile recals and such, but the older ones usualy just get tossed. But we will see what can be done.
And Subie, ill see what i can pull, might be abel to get a few out of there.

Hello guys, found thins thread while looking for some parts. Its kind of funny too, im actually supercharging my '87 944 porsche. But this sunday me and my causin are going to meet a guy who is selling his 92 240sx with silvia converson. Interesting coincedence. Any way I wanted to ask silvia91 if he had access to the crank pulleys off those benze's i got my supercharger but i been looking for a pulley to weld on to my crank pulley, Im in virginia but i'd defenetly pay for shipping and pay for the pulley if you could find me one. Let me know if you can help and how much it would cost and your address/name and i'll send you a cashier's check or certified check whichever is best and easiest for you. Hopefully by the time you respond well be playing around on his silvia. Its turbo charged right now but well see, if the supercharger works good on my porsche well look into converting his to supercharger.

Ok well i have 3 superchargers off of SLK's. One is off of a SLK32 AMG and the othere two are off of SLK 230's. Id prefer to give these to local guys as i dont want to sell them or worrie about shipping. So if your in the GVRD then come and pick one of them up, i only have 3.

There Tenzos LOL, but there not on there anymore. Ir running FN01R-C 17x10 all round now. Works great. Love the look and feel.

The specs are changeing all the time. I have about 13 motors for the car. LOL (i build them).

Currently i have a VERY agressive streetported 13b, with 2 peice 3mm apex seals, racing oil pump, racing bearings, RacingBeat oil cooler, custom 3 coor intercooler, Motec, custom 3.25inch exhaust from turbo back, t03/t04 custom turbo. Im making around 350whp@8.5 psi (or the cars i have dynoed previously with the same mods have pulled this, i have yet to put my on the rollers).

Running Cork Sport 30mm wider front fenders, JIC coilovers, loads of one off suspention parts. The car is my baby. Im currently in the process of making a cradel to fit the 20b i have in there :D:D:D:D But this will be a long term project as i love to drive this car. I also just picked up a 94' RX7 R2, so there is another project there as well.

Hahha this is great, 93-240, i got the email about the reply so i was comming here to say that when i posted my reply for some reason the listing i was looking at didnt have dates or anything, didnt have the graphics ether. And i come to see all this reply's hehe. Good good, I resurected a diying thread. Any way , FDTT i have the supercharger what i need is the pulley for the crank, if you have one of those that would be great, if not.. hmmm.. company where i work has a full machine shop, if i knew the dimentions atleast i could probably get one of the guys to fabricate a pulley out of aircraft aluminium, hmmm that just gave me an idea, i just need to know the diameter of the pulley then and i can get the width and rib spacing from the one i got. Btw while im here i should mention something. im gona be running on a Megasquirt fuel management system, dont know if you guys heard of it but its a preaty sweet system, all open source so you can modify it to your liking. check out www.megasquirt.info im still waiting for my because its on backorder but while im fabricating a crank pulley i can im gona go ahead and have them leave a ring around the base so i can mount a ford trigger wheel for spark control. also on side note cant wait till tomorow when me and my causin get to test drive that 92 turbo silvia. As for the SC, it is the ones found on Mercedes Benz SLk 32's and SLK 230's. Have a look into it, see if it will work for your application and we can work something out.

Hey FDTT, My girlfriend has a 02 c230 kompressor sports coupe. The engine looks like its the same but i'm not sure. So would the supercharger fit?

This sounds like a nice tuning option. Good for those who don't want to go through with adding a turbo, or who want a different power delivery. I hope it works out for you 240SX guys.
