Most fun driving a car ever. Its like my 90 miata x5. Great car test drive one if you ever get the chance, very quick and the turbo sounds awesome. mx52nv 12-14-2004, 03:25 AM save your money. pick up a 99-2000 for 10-12 grand and drop 6 grand in FM goodies under the hood and blow the doors off the Mazda"speed" edition. plain and simple. billbertreed 05-14-2005, 06:39 PM I just took a passenger side ride in one today and wow, that turbo is a blast. It doesn't like you in the butt like some other turbos, its smoooooooth. very nice mx52nv 05-16-2005, 03:19 AM lmao, your list of mods cracks me up. and the Mazdaspeed Miata is a waste of money. RoD1287 05-20-2005, 03:27 PM ha, sorry guys... you have to realize something about those FM miatas... if youre doing these modds to a 04 miata... then you have something call VVT.. if you want a variable timing system with a turbo drive a honda.... the mazdaspeed miata is an impressive start to modding the miatas... ill get back to you when i boost it up... granted.. i appreciate the older miatas.. my family has 4 miatas and my girlfriend just bought her first... the end... mx52nv 05-21-2005, 05:54 PM the 2000 and newer have the VVT and you can still run a turbo on them, but only up til about 9psi and then you start having issues. You can swap in a 99 head or you can disengage the VVT. Have a nice day. travisto 11-15-2005, 03:17 PM ha, sorry guys... you have to realize something about those FM miatas... if youre doing these modds to a 04 miata... then you have something call VVT.. if you want a variable timing system with a turbo drive a honda.... the mazdaspeed miata is an impressive start to modding the miatas... ill get back to you when i boost it up... granted.. i appreciate the older miatas.. my family has 4 miatas and my girlfriend just bought her first... the end... :) Masdaspeed Miatas do not have variable valve timing, trust me, I have one, and so far mine is handling 11 lbs. of boost just fine. Modded a bit... :naughty: RoD1287 11-19-2005, 12:10 AM yes im aware that they dont have VVT... thats why i said "go drive a honda"... i have 2 MSMs both 04s (not that it matters in the way of perfromance opposed to the 05s) vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
