86 MOnte Carlo LS, The A/C fan only has two speeds, although it had a setting for four speeds. Some time back the four speeds worked, but after a while being parked the blower speed is only at low or high speed.

you have a bad blower motor resistor. The coils for the two middle speeds are burnt out or the solder connections to them broke.
