Okay, I want to remove my right front wheel speed sensor but I'm not sure what it looks like or where on the right side it's located. Does anyone have any good links to a how to fix it? or links to pictures of where or what the sensor looks like?

It looks like a probe attached to a cable.

The speed sensor is mounted almost exactly opposite the disc brake caliper, inboard of the steering knuckle. It has a cable running up from the sensor above the half-shaft/CV boot.

To remove it, you remove the fender liner, disconnect the connector, remove the three clamp bolts (45 in-lbs) holding the sensor harness to the body and the shock absorber, and then remove the sensor from the steering knuckle (69 in-lbs). Installation is reverse.

I have been trying to replace a speed sensor in the rear right wheel of my 96 Toyota Camry. Removed all the bolts holding the sensor; however, can't remove the sensor itself as it appears to be tightly held in the socket. Press fit?? In the process, I hava broken the top half of the old sensor. The other half does not come out of the socket even after applying HD40. A struggle indeed. Any help??

These sensors are so expensive... I do not know why??
