i have a 92 celica st 5-speed, what would it take to make it safe for starting out in rally, other then me being carful. im in college so i have to be able to drive it every day. theirs just some thing about rallying, its just awsome.

a few thousand in safety equipment and a realization that you will more than likely smash it up.

that and you need another vehicle to follow you around the rally carrying all your tires and spare parts and tow your car home when you break it or tear it up.

Rallycross is probably a much more reasonable proposition for you. All you really need is a helmet, although some small steelies with knobby truck tires on them are nice to have.
