what to getbababooie 10-14-2004, 03:57 AM sooner or later ill get a wrx but im not sure if i should get a hatchback or sedan. what is better? and its not going to be the 04's ill will be 03 model. What are some flaws in the 03 keita 10-14-2004, 07:29 AM Ok...the MAJOR difference is exactly that....sedan vs wagon. Not a significant difference from performance standpoint (although some will go on and on about minutia). You either like sedan or wagon styling, and it would just come down to that. Personally, I can't imagine myself driving a wagon, so I have a sedan, but it's just personal preference and I have nothing against those who like wagons. keita 10-14-2004, 07:30 AM Oh...was I supposed to say hatchback, and not station wagon or wagon....? Ok...hatchback, it is. SabreKhan 10-14-2004, 10:17 AM I vote wagon! And yes, it's a station wagon. That makes it even cooler when I blow the friggin' doors off the Honda next to me. Plus, I can carry my bicycle in the back without taking the wheel off. I can take a collapsable tent thingy, four wheels/tires, air pump, power drill (lug nuts quickly), socket set, toolbox, cones, lunch, and all the various other sundry stuff I need/want for an autocross in the same car with my wife and three friends who want to co-drive the WRX but aren't going to get the opportunity. The sedan does, however, come with a slightly stiffer sway bar (you were probably going to upgrade that anyway, though) and the ability to mount slightly wider tires. I still bought the wagon. Now all I'm waiting for is the STi wagon. lordvektra 10-14-2004, 01:47 PM wagon is cheaper on insurance and its just cool to smoke people with a station wagon. if you go with the wagon spend at least $20-$30 on a sedan rear sway bar, HUGE improvement. Sedans are everywhere bababooie 10-15-2004, 02:39 PM thanks yeah i was leaning toward a wagon cant really put a spoiler on it then again spoiler jsut for looks that dont work unless u go 90+mph. ANd u can put subs in teh back and peopel can see it SabreKhan 10-15-2004, 04:33 PM Plus, it comes with a little wing, which I think looks pretty cool. Jay! 10-15-2004, 04:53 PM Well, the undisputed hierarchy of cool Subarus is thus: Brat > Coupes > Wagons > Sedans > Baja So, since Subaru decided not to make a GD coupe, your choice is simple. ;) :2cents: edit for clarification: Foresters count as wagons. kichigaijap 10-19-2004, 07:22 PM WAGONS DOING WANGAN IS PIMP LOL... If you dont know what wangan is its high speed racing in Japan... Anyways I saw this DVD with Japan street races and wagons cracking 170-180 MPH I was like WOW... I think there was a GF8 wagon and a Mitsu Magna wagon... and that nissan wagon with the RB25 skyline motor I forget what its called... It was still pimp though Jay! 10-19-2004, 07:39 PM Nissan Stagea. ;) Very Pimp. :bigthumb: donkeyboy 10-19-2004, 09:02 PM you got my vote for the wagon, ive had three subi wagons, i got a 97 now with the 2.2L, gotta love the fact that i can beat out any honda, vw, or nissan around with my "grocery getter", just wait til next summer when i swap in a wrx drivetrain......Wagons got my vote Sm00vEwRx99 10-25-2004, 07:49 PM Sedan.........more like sporty, compact, comfy!
