What comes std. on the M5?

What offset are the front and rear wheels? The rear wheels are wider than the front, right?

could you be more precise about your question?
wich M5 are talking about ?
E28,E34,E39?
for E28 i know that the whells wher 16 inchs in 225 large.
for E34 4 kind of size : before mid 1994 17 inchs in 235/40 17front and rear or if nurburgring option 255/35 18 rear and unchanged front.
after mid 1994 245/40 18 front and rear but with diferent whells 8 inch front and 9 inch rear ( you could put 265/35 18 in rear.
i don't know very well e39

The E39 M5 comes std. with 245/40 - 18' at the front and with 275/35 - 18' at the rear (we're talkin' about 400hp here... and sometimes, believe me, these rubbers r not enough!!).
BMW recommends Michelin or Dunlop (i'm pretty happy with Mich's), but some folks prefer Bridgestone... the problem is, lots of grip, but only for (more or less) 8000 miles... then, buy a new set...
