My 99 Camry has 120,000 miles at this moment, check engine light came on last October 2003, I got it checked with a mechanic and he said timing belt need to be replaced, i got that done along with replacement of water pump but light still remains, I got a engine diagnose on it and was told code P0447, which relates to emission etc....Can anyone help me on this PLEASE????What should I do to resolve it, how much it gonna cost me approx?
Car runs wonderful and has not given me any major problems; I have always done the regular maintenance in time.
Thanks buddies.

Check your CCV valve resistance. Make sure the connector is attached and is clean inside. Sometimes a dirty connector will cause this code.

Hi brain,
Any idea where this CCV valve is located? or did you mean PCV Valve.
Thanks

No, not PCV valve.
On some cars it is called CCV (Canister Close Valve). Others have Vacuum Switching Valve (VSV) and some have Thermo Vacuum Valve (TVV). You probably have a VSV. If you have a TVV, then there is no electrical connection and the valve may be plugged or stuck closed. In any case, check the lines associated with the canister and valve and throttle body.

If you have a 2.2L engine, I believe it is on the connection where the upper radiator hose joins with the block.

Hi, I checked the both connectors on the valves next to the block where the upper radiator hose joins the block. Both are connected, but I was not sure how to clean them??? what kind of cleaning spray should I use?

Disconnect and reconnect them. Might solve the problem.
Carburetor cleaner spray should work. It might also be a bad valve. Check the resistance.
Don't neglect to check the lines for potential leaks and connection quality.
