Hi All,

My 96 Gr Voyager with 130,000 kilometers makes a jingling sound when we engage the gear from park to D or park to R. I can hear the sound even when waiting for the green light at an intersection. All fluids and maintenance are up to date.

Is this jingling sound an issue?

My tranny also is hard to engage. When engaging from park to D or to R, the van makes a big jolt\jump. What could be the problem.

Please help,

thank you
Tim

It's your timing chain, or better yet, your chain tension adjuster can't adjust that far anymore. Although it sounds bad I never did have a problem with mine and it did it for years.
