Any Way To Save TowelsViperJ 10-09-2004, 02:44 PM After I get done waxing my car I have the towels that have wax on them. Is here any way to clean the towels, I can't wash them because the wax would then get on my clothes. ec437 10-09-2004, 03:23 PM umm... wash them seperate from your clothes? gosh that was hard :p f1guy68 10-09-2004, 03:36 PM Terry Towels...wash them in hot water with a bit of detergent and half a cup of vinegar and a little bleach if required. The vinegar will dissolve the wax! You can dry them in the dryer on normal setting but DO NOT use a fabric softener in the dryer or the washing machine! You don't want fabric softener on your towels it will make them less absorbant and will streak your paint sometimes. Microfibre Towels...Wash in washing machine or by hand, and wash seperatly from terry towels as they will grab all the lint/debris from the terry towels and you will be picking fuzz balls forever. You can use washing detergent as well with a little vinegar, and then I would suggest hang to dry or on a low heat setting in the dryer! Again, no fabric softener!! There is a product called Sonüs Der Wunder Wasche, it is an active cleaner designed to restore microfiber towels, wash mitts, applicators and foam buffing pads to their as-new condition. It's highly concentrated so a capful per load will do. THEN it gets on your clothes.:loser: ViperJ 10-10-2004, 12:57 AM Terry Towels...wash them in hot water with a bit of detergent and half a cup of vinegar and a little bleach if required. Thanks f1guy68 10-10-2004, 08:36 AM You're Welcome! ;-) dschwartz46 10-21-2004, 02:46 AM Where can you buy Sonüs Der Wunder Wasche? Robb01 12-09-2004, 04:14 PM sonus der wander wasche is available through Autopia (http://store.yahoo.com/cgi-bin/clink?autopia+s4642p+index.html) This is the only store that sells it, it is a really great wash to use w/ microfiber towels. spongebobmom 03-05-2005, 05:22 PM does adding vinegar to the wash really keep the wax from building up in the washing machine? vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
