Sub to HU temp.

I just got ahold of two 10in. jbl subs that are dual 4ohm, and I want to test them to see if they work before I buy them. I have a kenwood kdc-mp625 hu that has rca preouts x 2 200w max. What wiring would I need to hook the subs up to it to test them out? I know pushing subs from an hu is a joke, this is just to test them.

Any help would be great, thanks.

grab the left and or right of the headunit and wire positive negative respectively...

with the rca outputs right?

By the way thanks Haibane you've answered all my questions quickly the past couple days.

no not the rca connections...
use the wires for left/right front/rear speakers

definitely use the speaker outputs, if you use the rcas you're going to fry both the headunit and possibly even the rcas cables as well.

Alright I did. I got a very bassy but somewhat clear output. I guess they work.

Now to find out how to hook up the amp I'm getting tuesday.

Thanks for everyone's help, I love this forum.
