Hello every1, just curious to see if this can be done. I am currently driving a 1996 sonoma sl base model with the sealed beam headlights (the plain jane) grill package and i wanted to upgrade it to the better looking composite headlights and grill like on the sls and sle models. I know where to find the headlights and grill themselves but how would i go about rewiring the harnesses to work with the different headlights? has anybody done something like this before? Any help would be great!!!! thanks

i am in the process of buying a 96 sonoma sls... i do have the composites and i think that you could just go to autozone for the harnesses. would try a salvage yard for the headlamp assembly but suggest to be agressive in searching because they don't last long when they do actually survive because other people are looking for replacements too. you may also be able to order them new from autozone. you would have to trace the high/running lamp wire from the low and wire them into the new harness, then mount the brackets where the sealed beam used to be... the front is very similar, and shouln't be very complicated
