Hey all! spend a few hours last night getting ready to light up the new B16....well, it works! a bit of valve clatter, sigh, have to do that damn valve job now :)

Thing looks and sounds great! have to reattach the suspension and take her for a spin if the weather permits.

I do have a Q:

1. When I tried to tighten down the SiR axles, they bound against the hubs and you couldn't turn the hubs? I pulled the dust ring out, still no luck? am I missing something?

Are you sure the car wasnt in first gear or any gear? The axel might be too long to fit in there also if it wont turn. Did you have to "pound" the axels in to get them to fit? Just a few Q's.

I got it....there is ANOTHER seal that has to be removed from the AXLE!! argh! :)

and I'm getting a TDC/CYL code on the ECU. arghhhhh!

Sounds like its progressing.

What do you think has caused a TDC code? You havn't but the dizzy on backwards have you? :p :p :p


Don't worry to much about valve clatter at idle, mine still sounded like a worn out sewing machine even after getting them adjusted.
But once its warmed up and humming along at 6-8,000rpm it goes away :D

I MIGHT have found the trouble. when I installed the ZC you had to cut two wires from the distributor housing....well I reconnected the two wires back...and by chance they are the two wires leading to a possible problem. I undid them last night and will reinsert them...maybe the were crossed?

as for the Distr....I think it's ok as it's getting the correct impedence so far.
