Geeze!DBSS_Gohan 10-05-2004, 10:52 PM Ok... The 300 is deffinetly a fun car... But I have a few worries... Iv always driven either a bike, or Front wheel drive cars for the most part, except for a friends Formula Firebird I borrowed somewhat frequently. Today... I had two intresting... experiences today... A few things on the car are still off... The lights are pointing up, and to the right. That would be great if I need to look in trees... but I ended up not being able to see the road, ran off part of it, Got back on the road, and my car started swerving back and forth until I could regain control, I nearly hit someone cause I was practicly sliding my nose in the other lane with my tail in my lane... Geeze... Managed to regain control, but my steering is as loose as a Pregnant teenager on prom night... (Assuming one of those is really loose.) How do I tighten it? And the little play in the first little bit of my accelerator and clutch, is there any way to tighten that? Or make my clutch stiffer? Or anything? What can I do? DeleriousZ 10-05-2004, 11:08 PM that might be your intermediate steering shaft, i'm not sure how to check it but i got mine replaced because there was a bit of freeplay in the wheel, the guy who changed it said if it had slipped out i would have totally lost control of the car.... is there any freeplay in the steering? DBSS_Gohan 10-06-2004, 02:10 AM Yeah, theres freeplay, Im not too happy about it either, my haynes manual says that there are so many special tools required I have to take it to a specialist? Thats total BS! Will it cost a lot? I just want this freeplay eliminated and to have a stiff steering... vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
