what to look for on a '92 BMW 325itompope 10-05-2004, 02:00 PM I'm a longtime auto enthusiast and shade-tree mechanic, and I've always been an admirer of BMWs from a distance, but I've never worked on one or driven one much, so I don't know a lot about them. Sometime this week, I'm planning on going to look at a used car that I'm thinking about buying, which is a 1992 BMW 325i convertible with a 5-speed manual transmission and about 130,000 miles on it, and I would like to get an idea of some things I should watch out for. I'm not talking about the really obvious, general stuff that one looks for when checking out any used car, like evidence of bodywork, fluiud leaks, funny tire wear, funny transmission behavior, etc. I'm looking for more specific and less obvious flaws and problems that these cars may be prone to. Thanks a bunch. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
