I visited the owner of that model car today, this time... i brought my digi cam with me :D

so that means I have TONS of new detail close up pictures to show off :flash:

but because we have such cold weather here.. bringing the camara home made it really cold, so I have to wait till it warms back up to room temp. before I can upload the pictures..

in the mean time.. sit tight :p

Jay, you'll have some new updated pictures upload pretty soon :smoka:

How long does it take to warm-up a camera? Hold it over some oven or other radiator....

Anyway i'll probably join all ya modelers , i have bought my first model car , it's a tamiya 1/24 porsche 959 , any tips for a total rookie?

Really nice , nice piece of work assuming it wasn't the "R" version stock (the model) , but IMO the wheels are a bit too dark... but that's me , anyway big props man :bandit:

That was a nice project, and you obviously miss it!

Try taking some more outdoor pictures, it will show the model off much better!
What colour is that? I am thinking of something similar for my 300ZX, just to be different!

Well worth the wait. You did a real good job on that kit.

It must have been hard to hand it over at the end :(

I have 959 stuck in painting stage.
If you want pics check in separate thread
The most tricky is rear spoiler/engine cover. It consist of 2 parts and it supposed to be looking like whole piece
I still haven't decided should I use a putty or something else to fill the gap

Well worth the wait...looing good.
Its always hard doing a really good model then having to give it away.

the wheels are actually an exact color match with the real ones.. and that yellow, I actually bought a bottle of the touch up paint of the real car, then matched it using tamiya paint.. :)

glad you guys liked it :)

Here is a picture of the real one. Very rare. I think there were about 300 of them.
