I inherited a 1985 Toyota Corolla. It had a skip when I got it.(Free) It has even 180 lbs compression on every cylinder. I put new wires and cap and rotor button and skip is still there. Dont know if the people who had it last put wires on wrong or what. Anyone know the firing order for this car? Also, if there was a spark issue from the distruibtor would it be from the small electronic compontent mounted under the coil? I mean the coil either works or not on all the cylinders right?

>The firing order is 1-3-4-2. The small component under coil is the pick-up coil & breaker plate. I would try spraying both of those with electro cleaner.
