Im looking for a sweet looking(SMALL) spoiler, something that looks racey for a 82 s10. I cant find anything.

im 18, and i agree with you blazer. dont go with a wing man, at most get a fiberglass bed cap and put a small lip on it, wings are ment to cause a down force from air running over it, on a truck, it dont work that way, its just there, if you think it looks good i guess you can do it, but i think its just money waisted

get a cover for your bed and be done with it. get a roll pan and dress it up that way. no wing. i rememeber a few weeks ago over in the camaro forum, someone wanted to put a big ass wing on a 4ths gen camaro. same effect, you'll get laugh at more then anything, even a littleone. but be sure to put spinner hub caps on the truck if you do the wing, go all out and get the "rainbow effect look if you know what i mean

If you'd like a spoiler, you could try ebay. If you like the spoilers on the Impala's that much, get one from an Impala SS and graft it to a hard tonneau cover and put that on your truck. It would really look custom. Personally, I think it would look better and more racey with just the hard tonneau cover but thats my call, each to his own.

i was just interested in something like what the nascar trucks have just a bit smaller. and if they had no effect(except for rice) why would they use them in hascar and other types of racing?

Doesn't matter, even the fastest syclone s10's do not have a spoiler on them and they do a 9.87 second run in the 1/4 mile at 129MPH.

Why is this even debated? Everyone knows that wings suck. You would most likely not want to spend $500 on one so you'll look for a cheap one on ebay for $50. It'll break, or you'll want to take it off in a month because it's in the way and looks dumb. My idiot friends bought them, but they took em off because they got laughed at AND they had Vtec turbo Hondas. They are totally lame and while a few may like them, they will detract from the overall societal value of your truck.

There is a local here with a ranger with a spoiler and here is absolutely laughed at all the time when he goes by.

Saving him from teh embarrasment of people laughing at him is doing the right thing in my mind. I would like to have someone let me know before I did something stupid and ricey.
