I know the "TRADING POST" is not hard to find. What do you need dimensions for, if it's a Supra of coarse it will fit, if it's anything else you shouldn't discrace such a beautiful engine like that.

i got a mazda and wonder if i can fit the 3.0 supra engine in it
it'be far cheaper, and maybe better...
so that's why i need to know the dimension, gotta know how tight it would be.

A 2JZ-GTE engine set costs a minimum of $3K, how is that by far cheaper? If it's for that 929 forget it, leave the family car a family car and don't discrace the Supra engine with such a swap. If you have a minimum of $5K for the swap and tons of fabrication skill then who am I to stop you. There are much better rediculious engine swap choices for a mazda IMO.

good point...
this is the engine i was going to put in in the first place...

we'll swap the lame v-6 for a 20b tt cosmo rotary engine.
Some of the unique features of this project include:
* Custom subframe, spindles, relocated Power steering rack
*Ceramic Coated engine rotors- this greatly reduces thermal heat
transfer to the rotor and all seals, resulting in more power and less
stress on the apex seals in particular.
*Our own HD 2mm apex seals
*Extrude Honed and Ceramic Coated Intake & exhaust Manifolds
*Large Streetport with Matchported intake runners
*Cryogenic treatment of all engine parts
*Twin intank fuel pumps with mounting bracket
*Custom Aluminum Radiator
*Dual Fluidyne oil coolers with Goodridge lines
*Six RX8 individual coils
*Aluminum flywheel
*Aquamist Water injection
*"T" series Ballbearing Turbo
*Custom DP, & exhaust with Wastegate

it would have run into over 20k (yepper), so that is why the supra is the cheaper choice
still need the dimensions
THX

What is wrong with a straight turbo swap? It's obviously not cheap enough, being engine sets and halfcuts run $1500-2K at the most, and most importantly are bolt-in as I understand. The $5K being a no mods bare bones swap where you do all the work yourself, with all the same mods from the 20b it will be $20K I'm sure. Besides that your "mods list" is lacking and full of unnecessary items. Extrude honed and coated manifolds, you'd need a new manifold for the T-series turbo anyway which wouldn't need honing or coating, twin pumps because one bigger external is not large enough, twin coolers because one is not large enough? It goes on and on, if you were to go 20B you would probably want to rethink most of that list before you actually start buying that stuff. Have you looked into a 13BT swap? How about the turbo V6 swap? 500 fairly reliable HP is not enough for you? Again I digress and I'll quit cluttering up your thread, if you want to do the swap then be my guest, though I don't think you'll find many Supra owners helpfull seeing as your trying to put a perfectly good 2jz-gte into that.

hey projectsupramk3, you've made a couple of good points here.
i can see , you know what you're talking about.
anyway , the mazda 929 engines are known to have severe oil leakage and heat issues.
a 13b does not really cut it, as it is less powerful as the 20b , and upgrading the 20b is insanely expensive.
so i guess , the best way is it to get the superior engine in the first place (the supra engine i an talking about) , or not?
