I was wondering if anyone could tell me how to hook up an amp to my stock cdplayer in my 1996 Blazer, or even if it is possible. I want to keep the stock cd player! I want to put some subwoofers in the back but I don't know how to hook up an amp to the stock deck, or even if it is possible. Someone please help!!

Don't do this with a stock CD player.

It will sound like crap, be hard to install and could cause several problems.

Install a decent cheap headunit and door speakers and then install the amp and subs.

Yea, get a new deck, I installed everything myself, expect for deck. It pretty easy if your good with wiring and knowing how to run the cable under the floor or along the side. I would definatly get a new deck though.

worked out awesome and sooo cheap for parts.

Also note, if you change the headunit, you will have to change the speakers. The stock speakers are specifically for the stock head unit.
