I was hoping someone has had this similar experience and might clue me in on what is going on here.
I have a 97 JGC Laredo w/106k miles on her. When it is hot outside and I have been driving for awhile, the ABS light comes on and stays on until I shut her off.
When it is cold outside, or during short trips the light never comes on.
The brakes function normally, and upon inspecting the brake system visually, I can see no problems.
I know I could probably get it to push out a code if I had a scanner, but I don't, hence I am looking for a direction here.
Maybe someone out there has had a similar experience.

Sound like you might have a bad wheel sensor. If the ABS Lighy comes on after moving its a good chance its a sensor. You have to have a Scan Tool that can read ABS Systems to access the codes. The ones at AutoZone dont have it. You might take the sensors out and try cleaning them sometimes they get full of crap from the road. Only use a solvent like brake cleaner or carb. You can use a DVOM to check sensor value, I dont have specs but you can try reading all 4 on the Ohms scale and see which one is different. The ABS system should be checked out soon as possible so you dont loose your ABS Capability.

Thanks, CAM. I'll try that. Do you suppose this is why the rear tires are shaded on the console info center?

it's 2WD or select-trac, thats why the 2 wheels are shaded on the bacl it's saying that ur in 2WD
