Hey, new to forum (few questions)D6Syxx 02-13-2002, 11:46 PM Hi everyone. My name is Shaun and i'm very interested in purchasing a Lancer EVO VII. I'm 16 and I plan on saving for a little bit then getting one. By the time I buy one (september '04 or '05)... I know it's a long ways a way, but I have to save! The VIII may be out by then. My main question is why the Mitsubishi website makes no reference to the new EVO? maybe they did and i missed it, but if anyone knows let me know.. Thanks lancerz 02-14-2002, 06:20 AM the new evo? meaning.. the new EVO VII? The EVO VIII hasnt even been thought of, no rumours, no official announcements/specs.. Theres a new Evo VII GT-A though :D D6Syxx 02-14-2002, 08:53 AM Originally posted by D6Syxx Hi everyone. My name is Shaun and i'm very interested in purchasing a Lancer EVO VII. I thought that was what I said. And I was refering to the VIII because it "MAY" be out by then... You need to take notice of what I wrote a little better.... boostislove 02-14-2002, 11:46 AM You won't find any EvoVII references on mitsu usa's website because they have not announced anything substantive regarding the car's US release. They still want to sell a few family-sedan Lancers before getting everyone wet with thoughts of the Evo. Not to mention the fact that they still haven't announced what the stock/options parts list will consist of. The official release (according to pics from the LA Auto Show) is set for January 2003; they couldn't give specific info because there is still too much time until release. If they gave pricing and options info now, they'd look stupid or uncertain if they changed it later, or they would have no room for adjustments if something in the market significantly changed by 1/2003. We're all waiting for this info. When release/options/pricing info becomes available, we'll have it here. D6Syxx 02-14-2002, 04:53 PM Yes, I do have a Toyota Echo 2000. It's in awesome shape.. like brand new. I plan on saving about 5 grand. 5 grand for my down-payment and then sell my echo for watever it's worth.. i'm guessing 5-7 grand. the retail on them is awesome. So i'll have roughly 10-12 grand towards my evo. On top of that i'll still be working, so my chances of getting one look good *money wise* Thanks for the help, ye110man and boostislove.. much thanks.. late lancerz 02-14-2002, 06:46 PM Originally posted by D6Syxx My main question is why the Mitsubishi website makes no reference to the new EVO? Then what is this paragraph all about? WHAT EVO? but nevermind now i have figured it out, maybe next time TELL us what mitsubishi website. D6Syxx 02-14-2002, 11:13 PM Dude, i'm not here to argue over trivial $hit... Thanks for the legit replies... boostislove 02-15-2002, 01:09 PM no worries, man! We're all champing at the bit for this machine, so the rumor mill churns out all kinds of false reports, then there's a press release that sets us straight, then the next topic gets argued over, and so on and so on. In the next couple, three months, we SHOULD be getting much better info, straight from Mitsu. But until then, take pretty much everything you see here with a grain of salt unless his sources are revealed and credible. By the way, if anyone is in the Denver area, there's a guy who imported an evo vii rs for rallying who is (supposedly) going to run his car in the autocross this Sunday at Coor's Field. Hopefully, I'll make it there and take some more pics. (I already have some pics of his car, but I haven't had access to a scanner) lancerz 02-15-2002, 08:49 PM I like the word 'moderator' under my id. im not here to take shit from kids, next time add a bit more detail to what you want to know, as you can see the confusion. when you say 'mitsubishi website' there is one official one, that japanese one at www.mitsubishi-motors.co.jp (http://www.mitsubishi-motors.co.jp). but anyway i dont really care :o D6Syxx 02-16-2002, 04:43 PM I said I wasn't hear to argue... so if you want to be "right" than you are. I was thinking www.mitsubishi.com, but nevermind that. If you are a "Moderator" you wouldn't have come back with such weak $hit. The first time you wanted me to add more "detail," I already had and I'm sure you saw your mistake. ANYWAYS, i'm ending this..... no more talk of your authority.. let's talk about the EVO VII! lancerz 02-17-2002, 08:30 PM yeah no worries lets just drop this shit, btw you dont need to censor your swearing, i really couldnt care. p.s evochica and the other whingers, did u get ur e-mail from lancerforums.com regarding the new rules.. You going to whinge over there now? at least there rules dont apply here. :D vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
