Well, as you all know, I'm a car nut. Well, actually Im just flat crazy and have too darned many cars. A few weeks ago, Travis and I decided to buy a new Wrangler Unlimited and make that our new off roader, I've done a ton of upgrades to it already, but that's not the point.

2 weeks ago I listed my much loved, horribly well taken care of 98 GC Limited 5.2 for sale and today.....it sold. <sigh>.

SO...I had to bid farewell to my GC, tonight there's an extra spot in my garage where he once sat. My X3, X5, the beloved 84 Audi Turbo Quattro and my racing M3 will miss him.

I'll keep popping my head in here to see how I can answer questions and help ya'all out. I don't think the Wrangler room will have our antics or Sharon's car hell!

How much did you sell it for? What is it like working on a Audi I hear there Great Cars and expensive for parts.

I sold the GC for $10,200. A little higher than book but it was pristine and I was stubborn on my price. I had tons of offers around $8,000-$8,500 but I turned them down. I know I take incredible care of my cars.

I love my Audi! It's very awkward, it's a rare model. When they break, they break in grand style. On several occasions I renamed it an "Ouchie". When I lived in WA state it was my daily driver in the winter, can't beat the engine and the Quattro system for traction and power. In snowstorms, I'd scream past Exploders and the like going up the pass at about 80 with flawless grip. Besides which, it's in flawless shape for an 84, so I can't bring myself to sell it. It's a good change of pace car to drive around here once in a while.

I'll send you a pic if you want, it's the only one of it's kind/color documented in the US with an automatic transmission.

Of course if I were to purchase a Wrangler, a new sector of Car Hell would probably open immediately! :disappoin

West Coast car hell continues on Trav's X3. Been back in the shop for a week now, we've had it two months and he's been able to put 600 miles on it. Today is the 61st day of ownership and it's been in the shop 35 of those.

Hello, lemon law? Yah...I've opened an arbitration on it and we're gonna slam BMW's problem back on BMW. When the big mucky-muck in service says "We have no idea what's wrong" you know its all down hill from there.

Ugh...so long, farewell, aufweidersen X3...just gimme my damned down payment back and let me walk!
