Well,
I just was given for free a rust dent free 1982 280zx 5 speed 2+2 turbo today. Everything works it runs and drives but I know that the whole suspension probably needs to be gone thru. It needs the o2 sensor replaced as the old one is stripped out I think this is what is causing the car to blow black smoke out when I hammer it down at first any ideas?????. It has a 144k on it the original radio even works and A/C blows cold. Oh the cruise and power windows dont work. The guy I got it from was just tired of the car.

Does anybody know how many of these 1982 280zx turbo 2+2 where made I can not find anything out about them just the coupes?????????

Also any idea what this car is worth dont know much about them???? I just got thru going thru all the mechanicals on my 1986 fiero GT I already have $7,000 into this car but love it anyway.

I cannot get the power windows to work the guy I got the car from said that they both just stopped working at the same time any ideas? I also cannot fiqure out the heater on the car it looks like it was bypassed from the heater core the A/C works great I dont have a diagram showing the heater assemble any ideas? I am also lookinf for a nice front bumber cover for this car and need the wire that plugs into the switch on the pedal assembly for the cruise.

Nice Z! And welcome to AF! I'm not a big fan of the 280 but it's a great engine! As for the 2+2 Turbo's... they were not much of a rarity as they were readily avible along with the coupes as a turbo'd car. Very-Nice regardless...

glad to see an older z on here. welcome. the power windows could be due to a relay switch or a blown fuse, especially if they went out at the same time.
