well today i decided to do the seafoam deal... only problem is nobody around here's ever heard of the stuff, so i just picked up what i've used before.. some different name brand combustion chamber cleaner.. anyway... here are some pics of the fun....
the start!

after puring it in and letting it sit... starting it up was quite a task.. took me a few tries and it had to sit there giving it some juice until it finally caught and started to run smoothish.. this is what it looked like from the window..

here's right after i pulled away... there was about a 30 foot tall cloud of smoke floating away from my house up into the hills at this time...

this next one is driving along up the road just after the above picture was taken..

after a few min of spirited driving... it stopped smoking so i decided to call it a day... some of the looks from the drivers going the other way were priceless.. engine's running quite a bit smoother now.. haven't had a chance to see if it helped the power aspect... all in all it was a fun day!!!

ps.. anyone know how to host video's on the net?

i have heard it being very very messy. i am just afraid of it clogging up my exhaust system or burning out my cats. i might do it soon.

you buy this can of liquied called sea-foam. you can either put it in your gas tank (least effective), crankcase (little bit more effective), or a direct engine vaccuum line (most effective). after it goes through your engine, it cleans all the carbon off alomst everthing, in the process the carbon is being spit out the exhaust, which makes all the smoke.

Would I be wrong to think that the major purpose of doing this is for the fun of making huge clouds of smoke? :p

If you want to save your cats, then do a spritsing of water into your intake while the car is running. NOT A LOT OF WATER, just a spray bottle set on MIST. squirt a couple of times into your intake behind the filters, and the engine will do the rest.
EASY. At least it is on carborated cars, and on my ZX2 when I had it, the Z32s intake is a basterd to get to.
