Hey guess, yesterday my dad and I pulled out the engine on our 1970 Charger R/T. When we pulled it out the block said somthin like E440? and than there was a B which we're not sure what that means, like we would've known if it was HP which means High Performance, but yea, any Ideas...? THanks!

It's high performance if it came out of that car and the numbers match...

E means it was cast in 1969. Where did you read the numbers from? On top near the distributor, or down near the oil pan rail? If it was on top then the B means it was from a B-body car. If the B is elsewhere on the block it means you have .010 undersized main and rod bearings.

Sorry bout that, but what I was trying to say is that since my dad bought the car for 25 bucks off of a hillbilly, we think he swaped the original eninge for some junk-yard one, so I really am just not sure, but I think my pops wants to get a HEMI to put in that bad boy.
