I own a shop and I charge a flat $98 for diagnosis. That leaves you $102 toward the repair. I'm with glass, take it to a good jeep independant. It's hard to narrow it down on a chat forum without the proper tools. If it were in my shop, I'd check compression, exhaust, vacuum, etc. Good luck. KRM 09-28-2004, 07:14 AM just a thought but try sliding your front roof rack back about 3-5 notiches i've seen that when the air rushes past the roof rack it can make a whooshing sound like your hearing lloydjv 09-28-2004, 10:15 AM If you are inclined to try, check the airways of the t/b intake, and EGR valve. it sounds as though when your cat got clogged, it more than likely caused a great deal of carbon buildup in these areas. In some extreme cases, you may also need to thouroughly clean your intake manifold to remove the buildup there as well, keeping in mind that some or all of the injectors may need attention. I hope that helps. It's worked for me many times. Especially where clogged cats are involved. Oh, and be sure that your vacuum hoses are in good condition and properly attached. And give your evap system (eec) a good look-over. xtoyotacorex 09-28-2004, 03:43 PM Check your vacume tubing, check your belts. Turn your engine on and open the hood, can hear the whine? Pin point it. Is it from under your car? glass 09-29-2004, 12:40 AM ok i want the 200 $ check your tires for inflation press xtoyotacorex 09-29-2004, 12:52 PM ok i want the 200 $ check your tires for inflation press hahaha vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
