problems starting

Hi,
i changed the battery in my K reg 2.0l GLSi sapphire today but when i go to start the car it will run for about 5 seconds and then it dies on me. It was fine before the battery was changed.
Can any one help with this? I can't figure out what it can be.

does it die only when you try to accelerate?
