I was considering buying an s14 cause they are prettier, but then I saw s13 for soo much cheaper. And since I am considering of swaping sr20det in it would not s13 be a better choice. You ll have about 3-4
g left! for that money you can add o lot of stuff(t3t4, intercooler, boost controller) and smoke any s14 with a sr20 in it. Can some one tell me reasons why buy a s14 or a s13.

it's all up to you man, subjective. I bought an s14 b/c it's better looking, and better build quality, not to mention a much nicer interior for the ladys. The s13's pop-up lights look old and cheap, but to each his own. If you think it's worth it get it, don't listen to what other people's opinions are.

But if you don't like the headlights you can do a s15 conversion, I personally like the interior as well especially with aftermarket leather buckets. And by better build quality you mean .....
I wanted s14 really bad because it looked better now that money is the factor I started considering s13. PLus I want to drift and I am going to crash at least once. So I think S13 is a better choice. If I crash i can find parts at the junkyard which is harder to do with a s14.

s14's parts are harder to find. If you plan to drift then get an s13, much easier to find parts. S14's have better build quality, the dash on the s14 is much higher quality the cheap plastic in s13s. Also s13s have more problems, a lot of minor ones.

I am planning on building sr20det & doing suspension (tein coilovers) Also If you change seats in s13 to nicer once it looks a lot better inside.

I think he's talkin about S14 with KA motors in the states, they have the same power as s13's.

oh my a s13 w/ s 15 headlight conversion personally i think that looks horrible but to each his own. and the s14 only comes w/ more power stock if u have a sohc but the later s13 came w/ dohc just like the s14's so there is no power advantage. and there are many other threads just like this one so do a search for some other threads for more opinions and i say s13 all the way

the S14 has a better center of gravity makin it easier to drift. the S13 dose not in turn it has more understeer.

i say they r both badass drift cars it just depends on personal preference

damn, this thread is full of morons. "The S13 drifts better!" You can drift anything, its all about skill. Also, do you people now just buy 240's just to drift?

how is the s13 more sporty? Also if you hit something and feel bad, is that necessarily a bad thing? As opposed to trashing your car and not caring about it b/c it's a pos anyways. And s13's aren't more agile, s14's are (stiffer chassis). Just b/c something looks better and is higher quality it doesn't necessarily mean's it's pretty or luxury. Just b/c you don't have the money to get something nicer, you shouldn't bash on it.

he has a civic right now. We always have weekly ppl comin i here with civics, sayign "oh I am going to get an s13 b/c it's cheaper than I can swap an sr20det into it." In the end they probably just get altezzas or super big wings instead, but they just wanted to feel big once as if they were gettin a nicer car :loser:

Umm i do have an s13 give me ur email i ll send you the pics once I get them. Then what I ment is if you hit an s14 it is a pain in the ass to fix it because you cant really find it at junkyards. Please tell me advatages of S14 over S13 besides that it looks better and nicer quality. I look after my cars, hate when its fucked up or not clean. And about sr20det I will buy it, how elso can i run s13 with a blown motor? The civic is very clean and does not have any upgades, I mean why even bother doing them, its a civic. By sporty I mean more agile and sporty looking to me. And I am not a noob. I can assamble engine, and fix most of the problems. At leat my civic is not lowered untill a hard negative camber occurs. (its not lowered at all, plain stock)

ummmm i dont think you should plan on crashing if you're going to drift. its just not the right mindset to start out with i mean, losing control of your car is already taxing enough.

Yeah well everybody told me that is is almost imposible to learn to drift with out crashing. Hoping to be one of those who does not.

pavlo, the thing is.. is that you WILL run into walls or curbs.. you can't ALWAYS keep control of your car.. even the pros loose it sometimes.. don't be discouraged.. if you're set on drifting then plan to put some money into your engine, plan to have new tires every month or so and plan to have a lot of body work done. i'm not trying to discourage you i'm just saying thats the brunt reality of it..
