speedometer needle bouncing!!!

when i am accelerating, my speedometer needle will bounce up and down until about 35mph and it will stop. weird huh? or maybe normal? any help?

mine did that and when i had a new tranny put in the truck there is a plastick gear that mounts in the side of the transmission it will either be that gear 2bucks or the cable from the tranny to the gage in the dash
