92 Accord brake & abs dash lights...ChasD 09-24-2004, 03:56 PM My 92 Accord (155K) has recently had a new transmission installed and a master relay replaced/repaired (was not starting) and now has developed another problem. The ABS dash light has started coming on 5 - 10 minutes after driving the vehicle. Now, the Brake dash light has begun to illuminate. Sometimes it is dim, other times bright, and always pulses with the turn signal. The Brake dash light only illuminates when the car is in gear (R or D). My local guy did a quick check to see if it was the brake master cylinder cap/float sensor - he disconnected it and the light continued to glow. Has anyone seen this behavior before and how did you fix it? Thanks, Chuck 94accordVTEC 09-24-2004, 04:06 PM obviously check the fluid for both systems other than that i don't know unless an ABS sensor is bad but that wouldn't usually light the brake light also....the reason why it pulses is only because the turn signal indicators are another draw on the system it has nothing to do with the reason the light is on. (it gets dim when the turn signal indicator is lit then gets brighter when it goes off right?) (it gets dim when the turn signal indicator is lit then gets brighter when it goes off right?) Yes - it flucuates with the draw from the turn signal - my point is that unlike a Brake dash light that is on because the parking brake is lifted or if the fluid sensor in the MC were very low - these lights are 'bright on' in all gears, park and neutral - my brake light is only on when in R or D's and it's intensity varies. The brakes and fluids have been verified good. I've read other advice to remove a fuse or two to reset the error light, but was hoping to find someone who had conquered this problem before. Thanks... Chuck superdesi 04-07-2006, 11:28 PM I have a 92 LX Coupe and only have an SRS light which is for the air bag. Do I also have ABS brakes and didn't know about it? AccordCodger 04-08-2006, 10:43 AM superdesi, this is a VERY old thread, and your question is only loosely relevant! In answer to your question - no, you probably don't. Next time start a new thread. superdesi 04-08-2006, 03:16 PM AC, I am very sorry. Please forgive me, this will never happen again. I just wanted to be sure whether or not I had ABS since I am replacing my master cylinder this weekend. vBulletin®, Copyright ©2009, Jelsoft Enterprises Ltd.
